Hongjie received her Ph.D. in Systems Neuroscience from Boston University where she implemented and validated CAV/AAV-based chemogenetic targeting strategies in the rat brain for cell-type–specific manipulation of noradrenergic neurons in vivo. Her research was based on a combination of two-photon head-mounted calcium imagining with behavior to measure the neural population dynamics during adaptative decision-making.
Now she will now work on developing neurotechnology pertaining to decision making tasks at the Vaziri Lab.
Congratulations and welcome to the team!
